President of the Government receives President of Regional Government of Extremadura

The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, met with the President of the Autonomous Region of Extremadura, José Antonio Monago. The meeting was held within a round of meetings that Mariano Rajoy is holding with the presidents of the regional governments.

Mariano Rajoy and José Antonio Monago analysed the implementation of the measures adopted by Central Government and by the Autonomous Region of Extremadura to reduce the deficit and create jobs.

The two leaders also tackled improving infrastructures, particularly railways. They went on to speak about the State's historic debt with Extremadura.

Mariano Rajoy and José Antonio Monago also examined the situation of the tobacco sector and renewable energies in Extremadura. Boosting domestic tourism was another of the subjects dealt with during the meeting.
