Moncloa Palace, Madrid

Irene handed over to Pedro Sánchez the "Children's agenda", a document that contains 15 key points on equality, education, violence against children and public participation and investment to defend the rights of girls and young women.

This visit, held on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child, is framed within the events of the campaign entitled GirlsGetEqual, which the NGO 'International Plan' is holding in more than 60 countries in an endeavour to promote the empowerment of girls and young people all around the world, making them more visible, and ensuring they are heard and valued as equals. At her young age, Irene already has her future clear - she wants to be a designer, study in Paris and have her own home where she can raise her dog. She loves cooking, is a big animal lover and is concerned by climate change.

Irene represents all Spanish girls and young people that the government wants to support. To this end, the government has signed up to this initiative which, although held on previous occasions in our country, this is the first time that the President of the Government of Spain has been involved.
