The Government of Spain regrets the consequences of the earthquake in Mexico

​Spain received the news of the earthquake in the south of Mexico with great dismay, particularly the loss of human life caused by the natural disaster

The Government of Spain wishes to express its deepest sympathies to the families of the victims, and wishes those injured a speedy recovery. Furthermore, it conveys its full support and solidarity with the people and authorities of Mexico at this difficult time.

The Spanish Embassy and Consulate General in Mexico, as well as the Honorary Consulates in the region are in contact with the local authorities to assess the situation of the Spanish colony resident there, with the aim of providing such consular assistance as may be necessary.
