Álvaro Nadal chairs Spain-Russia Joint Committee in Moscow

Within the framework of the Committee, that will take place in Moscow, the delegations of the two countries will review cooperation initiatives which five working groups have been developing in the following areas: Economic Cooperation and Investments, Cooperation in the field of Cosmos, Energy, Transport and Tourism.

The intergovernmental meeting, which is due to establish new lines of work, is being held on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Spain and Russia and at a time in which economic relations between the two countries show tremendous potential for growth.

Spain-Russia Business Forum

Minister Nadal will also take part in the Spain-Russia Business Forum, at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation, which will be attended by representatives of the business associations of both countries. The Spain-Russia Business Council, as well as the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, which holds the secretariat of the forum, and the CEOE [Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations] have all been involved in organising this meeting.

The forum will bring together some of the countries that are global leaders in such sectors as energy, engineering, construction, as well as infrastructure operators and companies in the railway sector. Those companies that head up Spanish investments in Russia will also be represented, in such areas as construction materials, the automotive industry, agri-industry, companies in the healthcare sector, business schools and tourism.
