Following the success of this line of financing in 2015, which amounted to 900 million euros, the EIB and credit institutions are offering a total of 1.2 billion euros to SMEs and mid-cap companies for the renewal of lorries, buses and tractors, of which the EIB is financing a total of 600 million euros.

In his speech, the Spanish minister stressed that the measure will facilitate vehicle fleet renewal, as well as foster competitiveness in the sector, improve road safety and reduce environmentally harmful emissions. He therefore thanked both the EIB and the credit institutions for their interest and willingness to increase this line of financing in 2016.
