The heavy rainfall has led to the death of more than 100 people in Pakistan and more than 80 in India, and has affected close on 9 million people in the two countries.
The government, on behalf of the people of Spain, conveys its profound condolences to the families of the victims and to the authorities of India and Pakistan, as well as its best wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured, and hopes that the regions affected can return to normality as soon as possible.
