Spain welcomes agreement between China and United States on climate change

An increasing number of countries recognise that climate change is one of the most important challenges of our time and that it requires a firm, coordinated and global response.

As a member of the European Union, Spain has taken on a firm and ambitious commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, foster energy efficiency and promote renewable energies that translates into a broad spectrum of national measures and a desire to cooperate with non-EU countries to reach a global, lasting and far-reaching agreement at the COP21 in Paris in December 2015.
