Government of Spain welcomes convening of national political dialogue round table in Equatorial Guinea

The Government of Spain welcomes the convening of a national political dialogue round table by the Government of Equatorial Guinea and has observed the positive reception of this proposal by the Equato-Guinean opposition.

Spain trusts that the round-table discussions will revitalise political dialogue and lead to a broad and inclusive process that facilitates and develops the participation of the political and social stakeholders in Equatorial Guinea in the democratic governance of the country.

Inclusive dialogue between the different persuasions is the path to reach the consensus necessary to ensure the comprehensive development of Equatorial Guinea. Spain reiterates its commitment to the political, economic and social development of the people of Equatorial Guinea.
