The Government of Spain expresses its support for the members of the peacekeeping forces affected, along with their colleagues on the mission and with the governments and people of the Fiji Islands and the Philippines, where the peacekeepers seized or otherwise affected hail from.
Spain reiterates its support for this force and for its important peacekeeping work and for stability in the region, and urges all parties involved, including non-national groups, to abstain from carrying out any actions that might endanger the security of the members of the mission and in compliance with its mandate.
