The delegation is currently in Europe to attend the Security Conference that is held in Munich every year, to which the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, and the Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, José Manuel García-Margallo, have already confirmed their attendance.
At this meeting, the President of the Government had the opportunity to establish contact with prominent US politicians and exchange opinions on the international challenges that will be subject to debate at the Security Conference, as well as to talk about the political situation in both Spain and the US and discuss bilateral relations.
The seven US congressmen and women who visited Moncloa Palace with the US ambassador to Spain are Joseph Lieberman, John McCain, Susan Collins, Mark Udall, Saxby Chambliss, Marco Rubio and Loretta Sanchez.
