On Tuesday and in collaboration with the Spanish Guardia Civil, officers from the French security forces arrested Ugaitz Errazquín Tellería and José Javier Oses Carrasco, two alleged members of ETA, in the house where they were living in Albi (France), near Toulouse. They were carrying two pistols at the time of their arrest:
UGAITZ ERRAZQUIN TELLERÍA, 27 years of age, born in Bayonne (France) and from Hernani (Guipuzcoa).
Due to his criminal experience, he is considered one of the most important members of ETA's criminal logistics apparatus and one of the most experienced terrorists within ETA due to his activity in Spain as member of a "legal unit" believed to have carried out killings with guns, car bombs and other artefacts.
Among the acts of terrorism attributed to this individual is the placing of a car bomb in October 2008 on the campus of the University of Navarre, an explosion which injured 28 people and caused significant material damage. He is also believed to have formed part of the unit that killed the socialist representative for Mondragon (Guipuzcoa), Isaías Carrasco, in March 2008 and businessman Ignacio Uría, in Azpeitia (Guipuzcoa), in December of the same year.
Three warrants have been issued against him by the Spanish National High Court, two of which have been converted into European arrest warrants.
JOSÉ JAVIER OSES CARRASCO, 32 years old, born in Pamplona (Navarre) and from Burlata (Navarre).
Since 2005, he has actively participated in numerous acts of street violence in Navarre. Two warrants have been issued against him by the Spanish National High Court.
